E28A – Investor Visa

Investor KITAS (Limited Stay Permit for Investors) is a type of temporary residence permit issued by the Indonesian government to foreign nationals who invest in Indonesia.

This permit is designed for foreigners who:

  • Establish a company in Indonesia (usually a PT PMA, a foreign-owned limited liability company), or
  • Invest capital in an Indonesian company and are officially registered as shareholders or directors/commissioners.

Key points about Investor KITAS:

  • It allows the holder to live and stay legally in Indonesia for a certain period (usually 1 or 2 years, renewable).
  • Unlike regular work KITAS, Investor KITAS does not require a work permit (IMTA), as long as the holder’s role is limited to investment-related positions (such as Director or Commissioner).
  • It simplifies immigration and employment procedures for foreign investors.
  • It is intended to encourage foreign direct investment and make it easier for investors to manage their businesses in Indonesia.

Document Requirement (from the Applicant):

  • Passport
  • Photograph with White Background
  • Bank statement US $2000 at minimum
  • Minimum share in the PMA company is 10 Billion IDR.

From the Company:

  • Notarial Deed.
  • Business Identification Number (NIB)
  • Tax Identification Number (NPWP)
